About the event

Trondheim Marathon is Norway’s oldest marathon, first held in 1969 and officially renamed in 1983. With distances for all ages and abilities, it combines tradition with inclusivity, supported by year-round training programs, nutrition lectures, and wellness events. The AIMS-certified course is a 10.5 km loop through downtown Trondheim, showcasing the city’s historic streets, modern architecture, and riverside views. Half marathon runners complete two laps, while marathon runners take on four, making the race highly spectator-friendly as supporters can cheer multiple times along the route. The program includes the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, BDO-Mila (10 km), a scenic 5 km, relay races for teams over marathon and half marathon distances, and children’s races ranging from the Mini Marathon to the Young 5k.
