St. George Marathon
About the event
The St. George Marathon is one of the most scenic and fastest marathons in the U.S., held annually in Southern Utah. Recognized as a Boston Qualifier and part of multiple national “Top Marathon” lists, the race begins in the Pine Valley Mountains at over 5,200 feet (1,585 meters) and descends nearly 2,600 feet (790 meters) to St. George City. The course highlights the stunning red, pink, and white sandstone formations of Snow Canyon and finishes in the heart of the city at Vernon Worthen Park. Runners benefit from ideal early morning temperatures. A half marathon, 5K, and additional race divisions are also offered, drawing a wide field of participants and reinforcing the event’s reputation for outstanding race organization and scenic beauty.
