About the event
The Servus Calgary Marathon is Canada’s longest-running marathon, first held in 1963 and hosted annually since 1971. As a certified Athletics Canada and AIMS event, it’s a recognized Boston Marathon qualifier that draws participants from across the globe. The race weekend offers six distances—including a 10K, half marathon, and ultra options—making it accessible for all experience levels. In recent years, Calgary has made headlines with bold innovations: in 2024, it celebrated its 60th anniversary with a one-time-only 60K ultra, and became the first North American marathon to offer non-alcoholic beer at aid stations. The race finishes in Enmax Park, and the course blends urban speed with Western heritage.
