Romeo & Juliette Run Half Marathon

The Romeo & Giulietta Run Half Marathon is maybe Italy’s most romantic road race, held each February in Verona, the city immortalized by Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy. Timed perfectly around Valentine’s Day, the half marathon course offers more than fast splits and scenic streets: it’s a race through the heart of a love story. With over 8,500 runners across three formats, including a Family Run, the event welcomes athletes of all levels.

The course, reversed for greater speed, passes twice through Verona’s UNESCO-listed old town. Runners sweep past landmarks like Juliet’s balcony, Piazza delle Erbe, and the Arena di Verona before finishing inside Stadio Bentegodi. Relay runners hand off with a kiss, while the Family Run invites groups of all ages to experience the city on foot. Organized by Verona Marathon ASD and backed by FIDAL Gold Label certification, the event combines elite-level standards with a uniquely Veronese spirit.
