Marathon ELIJAH KIPKEMEI KEMBOI claimed victory with a time of 02:17:05. Coming in second was DICKSON KIMELI CHERUIYOT (02:18:01). Finishing third was WILLY KANGOGO KIMUTAI (02:18:28). In the ladies race, PRISCILA LORCHIMA won the race with a time of 02:41:23 . LEAH JEROTICH earned runner-up honors with a time of 02:43:30Rounding out the top three was MIRELA SATURNINO DE ANDRADE with a time of 02:47:02. Credit : tshantz Marathon results Will Kangogo Kimutai (2:14:56) beat Lemawork Ketema (2:14:57) by a second beachside in Brazil to win the Rio de Janeiro Marathon. Kimutai cut more than three minutes from his second-place finish in 2013, to best nearly 4,000 runners. Edson Amaro earned a third-place finish with a time of 2:16:51. For the women, it was Caroline Chemutai Komen (2:38:19) making it in almost minute ahead of Anna Hahner (2:39:15) for first. Third-place finisher Graciete Moreira Carneiro Santana (2:41:49) was the only other women to eclipse two hours and 45 minutes.
