About the event

The Maratón Internacional De Buenos Aires is a marathon foot-race which takes place annually in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the springtime, usually in October. First held in 1984, the race is organized by the Foundation for Sport Rhea Argentino and was won by Ruben Aguiar. The International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) has appointed Buenos Aires Marathon as one of its qualifying events for the Olympic trials. The main objective of the Buenos Aires Marathon is to provide athletes with a memorable experience while they enjoy the city. In order to participate, participants must present a valid medical certificate on race day.

Results 2016: Nandu Marathon Buenos Aires

Credit : Buenos Aires 2018 Siraj Gena Anda outran roughly 9,267 runners to win with a time of 02:20:24. Miguel Barzola earned runner-up honors with a time of 02:23:37. Darío Rios got the third place in 02:24:15. For the women, Lishan Dula Gemgchu got a win, finishing with a time of 02:39:14 . She bested Almaz Negede Fekade who crossed the finish line 3 minutes 13 seconds behind her.
