The event supports the Mighty Mitchell Foundation, an organization established after Mitchell was diagnosed with leukemia as a child. The foundation aims to assist families affected by pediatric cancer by connecting them to resources and offering emotional and financial support. It also seeks to address the underfunding of pediatric cancer research and provide hope and assistance to patients and their families, including siblings who may be impacted by the challenges of treatment. The event offers a 5K, 10K and 15K, all with charitable fundraising for this cause.

Matthew Dietrich took top honours by finishing the race in 01:19:52. Matthew Jenkins earned runner-up honours with a time of 01:20:53. Finishing third was Josh Parkey (01:22:55). In the women’s race, Barbara Ball claimed victory with a time of 01:24:29 , ahead of Beth Donnelly (01:29:37).
