About the event
The Cork City Marathon is a certified race that winds through the heart of Ireland’s southern capital, offering a mix of urban energy, scenic stretches, and local pride. Held annually in June and accredited by AIMS, it is a Boston Marathon qualifier that draws a diverse field of runners, from elites to first-timers. The race starts and finishes on the iconic St. Patrick’s Street, threading through all four quadrants of the city and past highlights like Blackrock Castle and the adrenaline-pumping Jack Lynch Tunnel. Organized by Cork City Council, the event has expanded to include a Half Marathon and a 10K, ensuring accessibility while maintaining competitive integrity.
