Blackwater Canyon Half Marathon

The Blackwater Canyon Half Marathon is an endurance event held on the Blackwater Canyon railroad grade and Allegheny Highlands Trail from Thomas to Parsons, West Virginia. Organized to support the Highlands Trail Foundation, this point-to-point race features diverse terrain, including pavement, dirt, and crushed stone, with a net descent. Participants are transported by bus from the finish area to the start. The event awards custom handmade items and hydration packs to top finishers. Additionally, runners can participate in the Black-Hel Double challenge, combining this half marathon with the Helvetia 10k Mountain Run for additional recognition.
