Berkeley Half Marathon

The Berkeley Half Marathon offers a USATF-certified 13.1-mile (21.1Km) course through one of Northern California’s most distinctive cities. The race starts at Milvia Street and takes runners past key landmarks—down historic Telegraph Avenue, through Sather Gate, and across the Cal Berkeley campus. The point-to-point route continues through North Berkeley and the lively Fourth Street district before finishing at Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Allston Street. With a comfortable elevation profile, it’s a strong option for new runners and experienced racers aiming for a fall PR. A family-friendly 1K (0.62 mile), 10K (6.2 mile), and 5K (3.1 miles) round out the weekend, along with a Finish Festival in Civic Center Park featuring music, local vendors, and a beer garden. The Berkeley Half Marathon combines big-city race infrastructure with a local, grassroots feel and strong community support throughout the course.
