What began in 1973 as a bartender’s Olympic-inspired dream has grown into one of the most prestigious non-marathon road races in the U.S., now drawing over 10,000 runners, from Olympians to enthusiastic locals. The race kicks off by the Captain Kidd bar in Woods Hole and winds past iconic sights like Nobska Light and Surf Drive Beach, finishing at lively Falmouth Heights.
