ASICS Falmouth Road Race
About the event
The ASICS Falmouth Road Race is a 7-mile summer staple on Cape Cod that blends elite competition with coastal charm. What began in 1973 as a bartender’s Olympic-inspired dream has grown into one of the most prestigious non-marathon road races in the U.S., now drawing over 10,000 runners, from Olympians to enthusiastic locals. The race kicks off by the Captain Kidd bar in Woods Hole and winds past iconic sights like Nobska Light and Surf Drive Beach, finishing at lively Falmouth Heights.
Expect a challenging, rolling course with stunning ocean views, cheering crowds packed along beach roads, and the thrum of summertime energy in every step. With a lottery system to enter, special slots for residents, and a handful of legends known as "The Falmouth Five" who’ve run every race since the start, this event is as much about tradition as it is competition. Race weekend includes an expo, charity bib programs, and plenty of beachside celebration.
