Tom Short 5K

The Tom Short 5k is held on the General Dacey Trail in Shelbyville, Illinois. This challenging and competitive event attracts elite athletes from colleges and high schools aiming to break the existing course record. Spectators can enjoy cheering on the runners from multiple locations throughout the course. Participants finishing in the top 10 receive a special race shirt. There is also a team competition with male, female, and mixed divisions, with the winning teams receiving plaques.
