The Sherrill Fireworks Run: In Memory of Dwight L. Evans

This 5K Run/Walk commemorates Dwight L. Evans, a former mayor of Sherrill known for his community contributions, including organizing the first fireworks display at the gazebo and securing support for its construction. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Sherrill Kenwood Library and the greater VVS Community. Evans was a lifelong resident and avid supporter of running events, often cheering for his grandchildren at races.
