The INDY 5K - Birmingham, AL

Ever wondered what it's like to conquer the world-famous Barber Motorsports Park racetrack on foot? Here's your chance with the INDY 5K, presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama. This adrenaline-pumping event takes you through a thrilling 17-turn USATF-certified 5K course.Your race entry includes a finisher medal, race t-shirt, chip timing, Friday Grounds Admission to the Children's of Alabama Indy Grand Prix, a parking pass, swag bag, and entry to the post-race party. The first 500 registrants will snag a shirt—register early to ensure you get the size you want!

Athletes can pre-register and pick up packets at Hampton Inn in Leeds, AL. On race day, head to Barber Motorsports Park's Lot E for a seamless check-in process. Make sure to bring a printed registration confirmation for parking and entry. Note: If you’re 21+, bring your state-issued ID for a wristband required for beverages in the Post-Race hospitality tent.

Race day kicks off with registration opening at 10:30 am and the 5K starting at 5:30 pm, followed by a post-race party and award ceremony. Awards recognize top male and female athletes, as well as the top three in 10-year age groups. Don't miss draw prizes, including Margarita Grill passes, general admission tickets, and Fleet Feet gift cards.

Water stations are strategically located at the start, finish, and halfway mark. For families, strollers are allowed at the back of the pack to ensure a safe race for all.
