About the event
The Great World Race is a high-intensity, logistically elite challenge: seven official marathons on seven continents in seven consecutive days. Beginning on the ice runway of Wolf’s Fang, Antarctica, and ending at Miami’s South Beach, this global race includes circuits in Cape Town, Perth, Abu Dhabi, Faro, and Cartagena. Each course is officially timed, fully supported, and selected for scenic variety and terrain quality.
Competitors are transported between races via private charter, with medical support, meals, and accommodations provided. This is not just a feat of endurance—it’s a world-spanning logistical operation that allows athletes to focus entirely on performance. From Antarctic isolation to coastal Portugal and urban UAE, the race delivers unmatched contrast, all completed in under 170 hours. Finishers receive individual race medals, a global finisher’s medal, and a place in the Global Marathon Club.
