Sisters Stampede

The Sisters Stampede is Central Oregon’s premier Memorial Weekend mountain bike race, set against the high-desert backdrop of Sisters, Oregon. Since 2010, this high-energy event has welcomed up to 500 riders of all ages and levels to compete on the fast, flowing singletrack of the Peterson Ridge Trail System. With a festive start just outside Blazin Saddles Bike Shop—including a parade-style rollout and mass starts by category—the Stampede offers both a Short Course (approx. 13 miles / 21 km) and Long Course (approx. 27 miles / 43 km), each with custom race plates, trail swag, and full support.

Beyond the racing, expect live music, local food trucks, a craft beer garden by Three Creeks Brewing, and a lively awards ceremony offering $1,500 in cash prizes plus unique pint-glass trophies. Custom medals go to the top three in 34 race categories, and the overall champions score a free entry for next year—plus a romance cabin stay at FivePine Lodge. A free kids’ bike rodeo, hosted Saturday by Team Booger, turns it into a true family cycling weekend. This is not just a race—it’s a Sisters tradition.
