Namaqua Quest Trail Running Stage Race

The Namaqua Quest 3-Day Trail Run is South Africa’s most colourful stage race, set in the wild beauty of Namakwa during the region’s iconic early September flower bloom. Over three consecutive days, runners cover 13 km, 15 km, and 16 km routes through contrasting terrains—copper-rich mountains, game-filled nature reserves, and granite koppies splashed with carpets of wildflowers. Each stage traverses private land, game reserves, and historic mining trails, offering athletes both challenge and spectacle. The race village at Okiep Country Hotel provides a central hub for recovery, evening meals, and daily slide shows, while the small-town community brings an great energy. Unique to this event, the trail run runs parallel to the Namaqua Quest MTB stage race, making it perfect for mixed-discipline friends or families to share the weekend.
