Murray Mile Ocean Classic

The Murray Half offers an open water ocean swimming event, welcoming both new and seasoned swimmers to compete in Avalon, South Jersey. Participants will follow the lifeguard course by swimming out to the ocean and back, starting and finishing at the same location on the beach. The race honors Captain Murray Wolf and supports the Avalon Beach Patrol Alumni Association. Swimmers receive a swim cap, chip timing, finisher's towel, and event t-shirt. Wetsuits are allowed but disqualify participants from awards. The event features a strict time limit and awards for top performers in various categories.
