Marsh Madness

Marsh Madness is a 32-hour ultra marathon held at Pointe Mouillee State Game Area, a significant location for waterfowl in Michigan. The course is a free, self-supported event on gravel dikes with views of Ontario and Ohio. Participants are responsible for their own aid and nutrition, with no formal amenities like garbage cans or portable toilets. The race accommodates up to 50 runners, allowing crews and pacers, and offers a nighttime course due to restricted access hours. There is no elevation gain, water crossings, or official awards, focusing instead on the natural beauty and personal achievement.
