Long Bridge Swim

The Long Bridge Swim is an open water swimming event in Sandpoint, known for its scenic route across Lake Pend O'Reille. Founded in 1995, it has grown significantly from its initial 78 participants. The event takes place annually on the first Saturday in August, offering spectators a chance to watch the swimmers. Since 2010, the event has also raised funds to support swim lessons for children and adults in the Sandpoint area, promoting water safety and enjoyment of the local lake.
