Land Between The Lakes Trail Runs

The Great American Trail Race takes place at the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, starting along the shoreline of Kentucky Lake and following a route to the trailhead. The course features the Canal Loop, which is primarily single-track with packed dirt, rolling hills near Lake Barkley, and steeper climbs by Kentucky Lake, offering scenic views. Dogs are not permitted on the course due to insurance policies, but participants may explore the trails with their pets before or after the event.
