Lake Takanassee Summer Series

Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Shore A.C's classic series! Join us for a weekly 5k race and 1-mile kids run around the scenic perimeter of Lake Takanassee. The excitement kicks off with the Kids 1-mile run at 6:30 PM, covering one lap around the lake. The 5K challenge follows at 6:45 PM, with participants taking on four laps. Compete for glory as medals await the top 3 overall finishers and age group winners in the 5K, and the top 3 girls and boys in the 1-mile run. Every young participant in the kids' run receives a ribbon, and consistent top performers throughout the series have the shot at prestigious overall series awards. Event registration is available on the day, beginning at 6:00 PM. Entry for the 1500m Kids Fun Run is just $5.00, and the 5k Run & Racewalk is $10.00. Remember, the final event of the series features a 2-mile run. For your convenience, parking is available behind St. Michael’s Church at 800 Ocean Ave, Long Branch, NJ. Whether you're racing for medals or just for the joy of running, come and experience the camaraderie and challenge this series has to offer!
