About the event
Athletes, get ready for a challenging road race set on a 5.5-mile loop in scenic Lago Vista, TX, with racing in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions. The final 400 meters will be open for a strong sprint finish each day. All races are held rain or shine and follow USAC regulations—helmets are mandatory whenever you’re on the bike.Changing tents are available at Vancouver Cove near the portapotties; public changing and urination are strictly prohibited and will lead to disqualification. Parking is not permitted on American Drive north of Highland Lake Road—violators risk ticketing and towing.
For race day logistics, registration opens at 6:30am at the start/finish area and closes 30 minutes before each race. Number pickup is also available starting at 9:00am at the Driveway and continues until the end of the Junior's Time Trial. Both one-day and annual licenses are available; riders with foreign licenses must present a valid UCI license.
Registration is online at BikeReg.com, with options for omnium or individual race entries. Teams registering six or more riders can contact the organizers for a discount code. Onsite registration is available for an additional fee. The Kids Fun Ride is free.
Race winner’s jerseys are awarded to the top rider in each omnium category after the first day, with overall winners determined by combined points from both days. In the event of a tie, Day 2’s points will decide the winner.
For accommodations, consider The Shores at Lago Vista or The Island. Full event details, course maps, and updates can be found at laprimaveratx.com.
