Helsingborg Marathon & HOKA Helsingborg Half Marathon

The Helsingborg Marathon was born from a vision in 2012, when founders Andreas Gartmyr and Simon Wikstrand recognized the city's unique blend of coastal landscapes, urban streets, and natural trails—elements rarely found in traditional marathon courses. In 2014, the inaugural race saw nearly 3,300 runners take on the challenge, and since then, it has become one of Sweden’s most distinctive long-distance events.

The 42.195 km course starts at Sundstorget outside Dunkers Kulturhus, passing through Råå Småbåtshamn, Ättekulla Nature Preserve, Ramlösa Brunnspark, Jordbodalen, Fredriksdal Museum & Garden, Kärnan Castle, Pålsjö Skog, Sofiero, and more before finishing by the ocean at Gröningen. Permanent 100-meter markers provide precise pacing, making it a structured and rewarding challenge.
