About the event
The Hameldown Hammer, much like our Dartmoor Volcano race, is a tough and demanding trail challenge - a true test of endurance. With over 600 metres of total ascent, the route is 98% trail, following a mix of well-defined grassy, rocky, and occasionally muddy paths, weaving through forestry glades. The course features a signature double ascent of the formidable Hameldown Ridge.
Climbing steeply, the Hameldown Hammer rewards runners with breathtaking views across Dartmoor and its tors, showcasing some of the finest trail running the moor has to offer.
New to the lineup is the Hameldown 7EVEN – The ‘Long 10K’, which packs in over 300 metres of ascent while still taking on the double climb of Hameldown Ridge.
Both routes will be fully marked and supported by marshals throughout.
