GCSOM Turkey Trot

Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine hosts an annual Turkey Trot walk/run event to support Friends of the Poor. The event features a main race, a relay for kids called the Tiny Trot, and a themed craft activity. Friends of the Poor is a non-profit organization in Scranton that provides essential services like food pantries, clothing, utility assistance, and more to help alleviate poverty. Awards are given to top finishers in various age categories. The event supports community engagement while benefiting local charitable efforts.
