Garfield Ridge Stars and Stripes 5K Run

The Garfield Ridge Stars and Stripes 5K Run is dedicated to honoring first responders, especially those who have lost their lives in service. The event supports non-profit organizations providing essential assistance to individuals in traumatic situations. Beneficiaries have included the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, the Wounded Warrior Project, the 100 Club of Chicago, and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. In 2025, the event will pay tribute to three fallen Chicago Police Department officers. The race aims to recognize the profound honor of serving the city and seeks donations to benefit these causes. Refunds are not permitted for this race.
