Frosty Freestyle & Krazy Klassic Cross Country Ski Race

Attention all athletes! Due to a social media mix-up, registration for the races wasn't open as long as expected, but no worries—day-of-race registration is available! Bring cash or a check made out to "Team NordicSkiRacer" to sign up on race day.For those concerned about snow conditions, Huron Meadows Metropark's snowmaking capabilities ensure race-ready conditions on the 2.5km Buck’s Run Trail. Whether it's man-made or natural, we've got you covered. The Frosty Freestyle and Krazy Klassic races will proceed, with adjustments based on snow availability.

All race proceeds support Huron Meadows' ski programs, trail development, and equipment rentals, driven by volunteers committed to winter sports enjoyment for all.

**Frosty Freestyle Race:**
Choose between 12km or 5km distances. On man-made snow, expect laps on the 2.5km trail; with natural snow, tackle different loops of 5km each. Skate or classic ski—your choice. Both distances contribute to Michigan Cup points, with distinctions for seniors and juniors.

**Krazy Klassic Race:**
Exclusively classic skiing, offering 12km and 5km options. On man-made snow, navigate laps on the 2.5km course; enjoy the natural scenery with loops on natural snow. Like the Freestyle, this race also contributes to Michigan Cup points.

Note: A day pass or annual pass is necessary for park access, and the race fee includes a trail pass. If weather conditions cancel the race, it will be rescheduled.
