Freedom Ride Rescue Turkey Day 5K

The Freedom Ride Rescue Turkey Day 5K is an annual event held in Garner’s White Deer and Lake Benson Parks. Participants, including families and their dogs, run or walk to support Freedom Ride Rescue's mission for animals in North Carolina. The event offers a 5K race and a 1-mile fun run on flat, paved trails. Thanksgiving-themed costumes and accessories are encouraged, and well-behaved dogs can join on a short leash. Virtual participation is available, allowing supporters to contribute from afar while receiving a race shirt. The event has a participant cap, and early registration is advised.
