Equal Access Birmingham Heart and Sole 5K

Equal Access Birmingham (EAB), a free medical clinic operated by medical students from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine, organizes the Heart + Sole Run to raise funds for its mission. EAB provides free medical care, medication, and health education to uninsured or underinsured Birmingham residents through weekly clinics and specialty services. Proceeds from the event support clinic operations and service learning for health professional students. Registration is available online, and participants receive race packets and T-shirts.
