The Cycle Flanders Fields is a scenic and historically immersive cycling event that takes riders through the landscapes of Nieuwpoort and the historic WWI battlefields of Belgium. With three route options—45km, 90km, and 180km. The 180km course includes sections of the legendary ‘Ghent-Wevelgem’ route, featuring the famous Kemmelberg and cobbled roads that challenge even the most seasoned riders. Along the way, cyclists will pass through Diksmuide, Ypres, and the Menin Gate, encountering war memorials, cemeteries, and landmarks that commemorate the sacrifices of WWI. The event blends sport, history, and culture, making it a truly unique ride through a landscape steeped in remembrance.

The Cycle Flanders Fields is centralized around the stunning seaside town of Nieuwpoort and sits just 40 minute from Calais. The world class 180km course is a unique 1 lap route absorbing everything the historic west of Belgium has to offer. The route covers a part of the World Tour Classic ‘Ghent-Wevelgem’ course. It's your chance to follow in your hero's footsteps attempting the famous "cobbled streets" and the celebrated Kemmelberg.

Starting and finishing in the city centre, riders head southwest following the World War 1 front line toward Diksmuide, Ypres and the sobering Menin Gate. The routes are dotted with monuments and cemeteries from both Wars which pay respect to those who lost their lives fighting for freedom. Make the Flanders Fields Bike your "must do" race for 2023. You won't be disappointed!
