About the event
Gear up for the 6th Cuyuna Off-Road Triathlon at the famous Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area in northern Minnesota. This ultimate off-road challenge will push athletes through a rigorous 3-mile paddle, an 8.5-mile mountain bike ride, and a 2.5-mile trail run.**REGISTRATION INFORMATION:**
Choose your division:
- **Individual**: Take on the paddle, bike, and run yourself.
- **Team**: Pair up with a friend to tackle all three phases together.
- **Relay**: Distribute the tasks—1-2 people paddle, 1 bikes, and 1 runs (2-4 people total).
Relays and Teams can consist of mixed genders and ages. Awards await the top three groups in both the Relay and Team divisions based on time. Individual awards will be given to those with the best times regardless of being recreational or competitive. In the Individual division, the top three finishers in each age bracket will receive awards:
- 12-16 (male/female)
- 17-24 (male/female)
- 25-34 (male/female)
- 35-49 (male/female)
- 50-64 (male/female)
- Over 65 (male/female)
**Recreational or Competitive?**
When registering as an individual, specify whether you're taking part for fun or competition. This helps us organize heats to minimize congestion and enhance safety, especially during biking and running stages. Rest assured, all requirements, distances, and timings remain consistent across both categories.
**ADDITIONAL DETAILS:**
We depend on nearly 90 volunteers on race day to ensure everything goes smoothly. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact Lori at 814-594-8949.
All proceeds support the Cuyuna Range Elementary School's Parent-Teacher Organization, facilitating programs that promote education and active lifestyles. Your participation is greatly appreciated!
For registrants, check the website for details on packet pick-up, parking, heat assignments, and maps. This information will also be emailed to participants 1-2 days before the event. For questions, contact Anita at 320-493-2240.
