About the event
The Chengdu World Heritage Marathon is a premier international racing event that celebrates China’s UNESCO-listed treasures while uniting runners in a spectacular natural and cultural setting. Held annually in the spring, the marathon’s route winds through the heart of Sichuan Province’s iconic World Heritage sites, including the Dujiangyan Irrigation System (a 2,300-year-old engineering marvel) and the mist-shrouded peaks of Mount Qingcheng, the birthplace of Taoism.
