Buffalo Trace Trail Race

Are you ready to test your mettle on a dynamic course that combines wooded trails and prairie stretches? The Buffalo Trace Trail Race offers a challenging 5-mile run at the Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve, curated by the Second Wind Running Club. Lace up and join fellow athletes in this exhilarating event, where every stride supports a great cause. A portion of the proceeds and all donations benefit The Friends of Lake of the Woods.Prepare for a seamless race day experience, with online registration open until the start of the race. Remember, parking is exclusively at Mahomet-Seymour High School, with the race start/finish line just a short walk away at the west parking lot off Crowley Road.

Important notes for participants: pets and running strollers are not permitted on the race course. Packet pickup is efficiently organized on race day morning, between 7:30 and 8:45 am, ensuring you have everything you need before the 9 am start.
