Ashmun Street Mile

The Ashmun Street Mile, organized by Yooper Running Company, is an annual event coinciding with the Sault Sainte Marie Independence Day Parade. Participants start near the Krist Gas Station, racing along the parade route, with the finish line near Deep Root Salon. All finishers receive a medal and prize money is awarded to top finishers. The race includes masters categories but no age group prizes. Participants are advised to complete the mile in under 25 minutes, as the parade follows shortly.
